The president usually rides in a limousine but on at least one occasion President Roosevelt rode in a jeep!

He was at Casablanca for a meeting with Churchill from 14 to 24 January 1943.

Roosevelt’s jeep would make an interesting jeep build (but it includes a cut out for the passenger as I recall.  The US Flags instead of USA are pretty cool…you think that was done in drab paint?

I see 151443 in the picture so perhaps it is jeep 20151443?  Nabholtz says the blackout driving light was added July 1942 starting with vehicle number 163750.  Perhaps he was simply referring to production.  It is entirely possible this was a retrofit.  This makes sense because kits were developed.  You can read some more about them in Military Maintenance for MB/GPW Jeeps 1941-45.
