It wasn’t just the US Army that used jeeps during WW2. The US Navy purchased jeeps as well. In fact some with USN markings were used by the US Marines. It might come as a surprise that the Navy had jeeps (other than a few “gray” painted jeeps). The photo is from the US Library of Congress.
