I watch my weight and the jeep's too.

The Navy had jeeps that were used by the USMC.

The USMC is of course a part of the USN.  During WW2 USN jeeps were used by the USMC.  It is really cool seeing a color photograph of the jeep in action.

A USN marked jeep being used by the USMC to tow a Marine glider. While this jeep isn’t proof of how all USN jeeps looked during WW2, it certainly is interesting and might serve to stir some discussion. The original caption for this photo was “Marine glider at Page Field, Parris Island, S.C.”. It was taken in May, 1942 at Parris Island and is from the Library of Congress collection.
